While OnePlus just teased its upcoming flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone, the first benchmark results of the handset have now been leaked. They definitely did astound us.
A credible source of GSMArena revealed the Geekbench scorecard of the upcoming OnePlus 5. The listing clearly indicates the handset to be the OnePlus 5 bearing model number OnePlus A5000. The device scored an impressive 1963 for single-core and 6687 for multi-core. The multi-core score of the OnePlus 5 has broken all previous records on the Geekbench 4 list.
While the scores are impressive by themselves, what is even more amazing is the fact that the popular flagship Samsung Galaxy S8+ which is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset which is expected to be used on the OnePlus 5 scored 1925 for single-core and 6084 for multi-core. Hence we assume that the OnePlus 5 will once again be the flagship killer of 2017.
The Geekbench listing of the alleged OnePlus 5 does not reveal any details except that the handset would run on the latest Android v7.1.1 Nougat version. As for the benchmark scores, even though the source is said to be credible by itself, we believe that the scores indicate the real picture or something close.
