The one thing that Android fans love to see on their devices more than any other is the latest version of the OS running on their devices. This way, they can benefit from the awesome features Google keeps bringing. And OnePlus CEO Pete Lau took to Twitter to confirm just that. This is definitely great news at a time when OEMs generally forget device updates after 1 year of launch.
OnePlus fans have been vocal on the forums of the lack of updates to their OnePlus Two and OnePlus X and it is nice to see the Chinese company keeps an eye on customer feedback. The news comes on the Verge of an impending launch of the OnePlus 5 when the company has already announced the limited OnePlus 3T will soon be out of stock in India.
A lot of you have been asking, so I'm proud to say Android O will come to OnePlus 3 and 3T.
— Pete Lau (@PeteLau) May 31, 2017
Pete Lau took to Twitter to inform OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users of the splendid news. Although he did not give any time-frame for when the update should be expected. However, the official Android O update hasn’t been rolled out to users so that is understandable. It is unlikely that OnePlus 3T users would see the update in 2017. We just hope the company lives up to its promises.
