After multiple leaks and rumours, OnePlus has finally unveiled the 2016 flagship killer – the OnePlus 2 at a unique virtual reality event.
OnePlus has announced the launch of the OnePlus 2, which is the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor to the OnePlus One. The device has a 5.5 inch IPS In-Cell display with 1500:1 contrast ratio and resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by the 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 810 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The OnePlus 2 is equipped with a fingerprint scanner which is integrated into the home button. It employs the reversible USB Type-C connector. Interestingly, the capacitive buttons on the phone are completely customizable. The phone has dual SIM support with 4G connectivity.
The OnePlus 2 has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with Laser Auto focus, OIS, 1.3um pixels, f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. There is also a front facing 5 MP camera. The device runs on the company’s Oxygen OS which is based on the latest Android Lollipop version with a massive 3300 mAh battery.
The OnePlus 2 is available in sandstone black colour with optional style swap covers in Kevlar, bamboo, rosewood and black apricot. The handset is available in two variants – one with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage which is priced at Rs. 22999, the other with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage which is priced at Rs. 24999. The handset would be available in India starting from August 11.
