The Nokia X family of devices was unveiled at MWC in February and Nokia X went on sale globally in March. Today marks the launch of its elder sibling, the Nokia XL. Microsoft has launched the Android (forked!) running smartphone in India and the device is available online for Rs. 11,589.
Nokia XL is a Nokia X on steroids with a bigger display, more RAM and better in almost every department. Nokia XL features a 5-inch IPS LCD display of WVGA (800x480p) resolution. It is powered by the Dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 768 MB RAM. There’s 4 GB of internal storage along with microSD expansion up to 32 GB.
There’s a 5 MP autofocus camera in the rear with LED flash and a 2 MP camera graces the front. The device is equipped with a 2000 mAh removable battery. There’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean under the hood but it’s been skinned with Nokia’s very own interface, services and Microsoft’s services. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0.
We reviewed the Nokia X and we weren’t really impressed with the device but hopefully Nokia XL can change that, thanks to updated innards.
Nokia XL comes in various cool colors: Black, White, Cyan, Orange , Yellow and Green. The device is available at the official online Nokia Shop for Rs. 11,489. So, tell us, will you buy the Nokia XL at this price?
