Days after the Nokia XL first went on sale online in India for Rs. 11589, Microsoft Devices has officially launched the handset in the country.
Microsoft Devices, which has now taken over Nokia, has announced the launch of the Nokia XL in India. The Nokia XL is the bigger version of the Nokia X, which was the company’s first Android smartphone. The device flaunts a 5 inch IPS LCD display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1 GHz along with 768 MB of RAM.
The Nokia XL is equipped with a rear facing 5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera. The device runs on the Nokia X platform, which is the company’s forked version of the Android v4.1. The handset is priced at Rs. 11489 and is available in Black, White, Cyan, Orange, Yellow and Green colour options. Airtel users will get 500 MB of free data for six months to download apps from the Nokia Store.
