As it was speculated, Microsoft is all set to announce the Nokia X2 this month. The company has teased the Nokia X successor on its Nokia Conversations blog and the smartphone is set to be unveiled on June 24.
Nokia X was announced in February earlier this year and it went on sale in March in India. It has only been 3 months and Nokia is planning to launch its successor. Although the company hasn’t confirmed the Nokia X2 name, it has teased the device on its blog with the tagline “Green with envy”.
Reportedly, Microsoft plans to take on the likes of Moto E with the Nokia X2 and the device will bring some much needed upgrades. The Nokia X2 is said to be coming with a dedicated home button and other upgrades including a bigger display, faster processor and 1 GB RAM.
While we thought Microsoft won’t release another Android smartphone after the acquisition but apparently, we were wrong. When we reviewed the Nokia X, we weren’t really impressed by it. Hopefully, the Nokia X2 manages to change that.
