The first Android smartphone from Nokia is slowly inching towards reality. While we have already seen enough leaks revealing the specs and press renders of the device, the benchmark results of the device have been revealed now.
The Nokia X aka the Project Normandy was tested at Browsermark benchmarks. The device, bearing model number RM-980, scored a mere 1885 points putting it in the same category as the Sony Xperia C and other mid-range Android smartphones. While the handset is not comparable to most of the high-end Android smartphone, it surprisingly outbid Nokia’s flagship Lumia 1020.
While the Browsermark Benchmarks mention that the device runs on the Android platform, the version was not mentioned. It is however confirmed to be running mobile Chrome thereby raising hope that we would also see other Google services. If everything goes on well, we can expect to see the Nokia X at the Nokia event scheduled just before MWC 2014.
Expected specs of the Nokia X:
- 4 inch display
- 800 x 480 pixels resolution
- 1 GHz dual core processor
- 512 MB RAM
- 4 GB internal memory
- 5 MP primary camera
- 1500 mAh battery
