Nokia has launched N900 in India. (Nokia India announced on 4th June 2010 that N900 will be on for sale in all major cities of India from 9th June 2010) It runs on open source platfrom – Maemo. Priced at Rs. 30,639 N900 packs a powerful ARM Cortex-A8 processor, up to 1GB of application memory and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics acceleration. The result is PC-like multitasking, allowing many applications to run simultaneously. Switching between applications is simple, as all running content is constantly available through the dashboard. The panoramic homescreen can be fully personalized with favorite shortcuts, widgets and applications.
The Nokia N900 supports Nokia Maps, Nokia Messaging, IM and Ovi Files. It has a 32GB of storage, which is expandable up to 48GB via a microSD card. It features a 5 megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics and a dual LED flash. The Maemo software and the N900 come with a new tag cloud user interface that helps users share images and videos online straight from your device.
