The much rumored and extensively leaked Nokia Lumia Icon was recently made official by Nokia. As you must be knowing, the Lumia Icon is US carrier Verizon exclusive, so we among many people wished the device would hit the global market soon. Now, new reports suggest the Lumia Icon will come to the rest of the world as the Nokia Lumia 929.
The report claims to come from ‘industry sources’ but we suggest you to take this report with some amount of salt because last year’s Lumia 928, another Verizon exclusive which did not make it to the global market. We are quite sure that a similarly specced device will be launched globally soon but with a different design and more color options.
The Lumia Icon is what we wished the Lumia 1520 to be. All of those great hardware in a more compact form factor. Well, we should see the device launch with Windows Phone 8.1 which Microsoft announced yesterday at MWC. We will know more in April about Windows Phone 8.1 at Microsoft’s annual Build conference.

We can be sure that the Nokia Lumia 929 (if its real) will be a great device considering top of the line specs and Windows Phone 8.1, which should bring Microsoft’s mobile platform on par with Android and iOS, as many leaks have suggested a huge number of new features.
