The Lumia Black update from Nokia for its Lumia smartphones starting rolling out across the world earlier last week with the Lumia 1020 and the Lumia 925 getting it first and now the other flagship of the Lumia flagship, the Lumia 920 has started receiving the update.
In case you don’t know, the Lumia Black update is Nokia’s update along with the latest Windows Phone GDR3 update. So the new features include better multitasking, you can now close apps from the multitasking view. There’s the new Driving mode, screen rotation lock, custom ringtones for individual contacts. Then there are Nokia’s improvements which bring Glance 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 support, improvements to the camera. The Nokia StoryTeller app, Nokia Beamer app and the App Folder which by the way can be downloaded on devices still not updated to Lumia Black.
My Lumia 920 is getting the update right now in India while in Italy, the Lumia 820 is getting the update along with its elder sibling, the Lumia 920. In case you haven’t received the update yet, be patient and keep checking as it might be rolling out gradually.
