Earlier today, we came across the specs of the Nokia Lumia 530 and now, Microsoft has gone ahead and made the device official. Sadly, the device features the same disappointing specs we came to know.
The Lumia 530 features a design similar to the Lumia 630 and not the rectangular design we have loved on the Lumia 520 and 525. The device is a tad chubbier as well at 11.7 mm. The device packs in a 4-inch LCD display of FWVGA (854x480p) resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 512 MB RAM. There’s 4 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 128 GB.
On the camera front, the device features a 5 MP rear fixed focus camera. Nokia/Microsoft has equipped the device with a 1430 mAh battery. The device comes with the latest Windows Phone 8.1 on-board with Lumia Cyan and Microsoft is also offering 15 GB free cloud storage with the device. The connectivity is well covered and there’s Dual SIM connectivity as well.
The Nokia Lumia 530 is a downgrade from the Lumia 520 and 525. The RAM is 512 MB, the internal storage has been halved, camera has been downgraded. Well, the Lumia 520 has been immensely popular and Microsoft/Nokia could have used that popularity but the disappointing specs of the 530 should make sure the 520 remains the more popular device. Well, we are pretty disappointed over the Lumia 530, you tell us what you think?
