As expected, Nokia has finally pulled the curtains off the camera centric Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone in India, a craze for the photography enthusiasts with a pure mobile experience.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 has been officially announced in India today, bringing the much awaited camera phone into the Indian markets. The Nokia Lumia 1020 boasts of a massive 41 MP Carl Zeiss sensor of 1/1.5” and 1.12 µm pixel size along with PureView technology to provide crisp and sharp images even in poor lighting conditions.
The camera of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is equipped with a dual Xenon and LED flash. Alongside the optical image stabilization technology, the camera can be focused manually or automatically. The camera can simultaneously capture 38 MP image along with a 5 MP counterpart. The device comes installed with the third party camera app, Nokia Pro cam which provides the capability to change multiple setting while shooting an image or video.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 sports a 4.5 inch AMOLED display with 2.5 D sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which has a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has the Adreno 225 GPU for better graphics.
Other than the 41 MP camera, the Nokia Lumia 1020 also has a front facing 1.2 MP wide-angle camera. The device runs on the Windows 8 OS and has a battery of 2000 mAh. The price of the Nokia Lumia 1020 has not yet been announced due to currency fluctuations experienced in India. The price of the device in India would be announced on October 10 and would be available across the country starting from the second week of October.
