While we are quite excited about Nokia’s re-entry into the smartphone market next year, an alleged press render of the company’s upcoming smartphone has surfaced.
The press renders of the alleged Nokia C1 have surfaced in China. The handset is touted to be the first smartphone that Nokia would launch to signal its comeback in the mobile industry in 2016 after its agreement with Microsoft expires. Interestingly, the renders reveal the same device with two version – one running the Android interface with Nokia’s Z Launcher and the other running on the Windows OS.
While we thought that Nokia would focus only on Android after its return, it seems that the handset maker has also decided to continue with Windows Phone. As such we can expect two variants of the Nokia C1 based on OS. While Nokia seems to have adopted a very plain and minimalistic design, the buttons seem weird being placed right on top.
