With Nokia banking on the new Asha series of smartphones to lure the emerging markets with its very low pricing, we never really got to see any fancy designs from the company, however now it seems that the company is working on something very eccentric.
According to the newly leaked press renders of the new Asha 500, we get to see a new design for the phone with a polycarbonate design with an overall of glass. While it highly resembles the Nokia Asha 501 with minor placement changes and a missing camera flash.
The Asha 500 would also apparently sport the Whatsapp messenger, which has become a major requirement on smartphones. Despite the glass overlay we can expect the device pricing to remain around the average Asha smartphone line pricing of $99. However as of now there is no launch date of the Asha 500 mentioned but we can expect to see the device over the next few weeks.
