Back in September, Nokia went on to announce the Nokia Asha 308 Dual-SIM and Nokia Asha 309 with the devices arriving in the markets soon.
And today we have spotted the two feature phones with the ‘Coming Soon’ tag over online retailer sites Flipkart and Infibeam.
Interestingly, the Nokia Asha 308 has still not been officially launched by Nokia in India but the feature phone has been already available and is ‘In Stock’ for Rs. 5,799 over Infibeam. While Flipkart on the other hand still carries the ‘Coming Soon’ tag on the phone but has priced it Rs.5576.
[Update: Flipkart is now taking Pre-Orders for the Nokia Asha 308 for Rs.5576 with an estimated release date in 4th week of October which confirms that Nokia is going to launch the device on October 23rd event]
On the other hand, the Nokia Asha 309 has been listed on Flipkart as coming soon but no price tag has been set for the phone. The phones have been listed on Nokia Shop as coming soon and as per our conversation with the Customer Care Executive, the Nokia Asha 308 will be available to them by the end of the month or in early November.
The Nokia Asha 308 is being advertised by Nokia in its Nokia Diwali celebration offers wherein any person who buys the feature phone will be getting Rs.4500 worth of vouchers to be used on Yatra.com.
The only difference between Nokia Asha 308 and Asha 309 is that the 308 arrives with dual-SIM capability and without Wi-Fi, while the Asha 309 is a single SIM phone with in-built Wi-Fi. The phones arrive with a 3-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 400 x 240 pixels, memory expandable to 32 GB, Nokia S40 OS, Wi-Fi (Asha 309), 2G-connectivity, Radio and more. Nokia has also sent us an invite for the launch of a phone on the October 23 and are assuming that the company will unveil the Nokia Asha 308 for India.
