Nokia India has today announced an addition to its existing range of Asha series of mobile phones with the launch of the Nokia Asha 205.
The Nokia Asha 205 arrives with a 2.4-inch QVGA display, full QWERTY physical keyboard so that users have a great typing experience and runs on the Series 40 (S40) OS.
The Nokia Asha 205 goes on to arrive with the following specifications:

- Screen resolution of 240 x 320 pixels
- 65K colors
- Full-QWERTY keyboard
- 64 MB internal memory
- Expandable to 32 GB
- VGA camera
- 113 x 61 x 13 mm
- 94 grams
- GPRS/EDGE connectivity
- Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR
- 1020 mAh battery
Nokia has also introduces a new, dedicated Facebook button, making it the perfect device for social people who want the fastest access to their Facebook profile.
The Nokia Asha 205 arrive with a new feature called ‘Slam’. Slam allows consumers to share multimedia content like photos and videos with nearby friends almost instantly. It works with most Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam.
Nokia plans to make the Asha 205 available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM options and prospective buyers will be able to choose from three colour options: Cyan, Magenta and Orange.
The Asha 205 is to be priced for around $62 or approximately Rs 3,500 and will be available before the end of the year.
