To tap into the versatile 3G market in India, Nokia has announced three entry level 3G phones which are priced keeping the Indian market in mind.
The Nokia 207, Nokia 208 and the Nokia 208 Dual SIM are the new handsets from Nokia which combine the candybar design with Nokia’s signature bold colours and 3.5G-capable Internet speeds. The phones are equipped with the traditional keypad and also provide a smartphone experience. All the device have a 2.4 inch colour display and run on the Nokia Series 40 OS and come preloaded with social media apps.
While the Nokia 207 will be available as a single SIM option without a camera, the Nokia 208 will be available in single SIM and Easy Swap Dual SIM variants with a small 1.3 MP camera. All three phones available in red, cyan, yellow, white and black colour options would deliver an outstanding battery life of up to 33 days of standby time.
Timo Toikkanen, executive vice president, Mobile Phones, Nokia speaking at the launch said, “As our most affordable 3G devices yet, the Nokia 207 and Nokia 208 offer a perfect balance of performance, features and quality.” The devices are priced at $68 and would start shipping in the third quarter.
