Nokia has announced some exciting news today by confirming that the Nokia 808 PureView will be available in the month of May in selected markets. The best part is that Nokia has announced that the one of the first markets to begin selling the award-winning camera-phone will include India.
Announced back in February at the Mobile World Congress 2012, the Nokia 808 PureView has received multiple awards, including Best Mobile Device as well as an award for Best Imaging Innovation for 2012 from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).
If you are unaware, the Nokia 808 PureView features a large, high-resolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology. The smartphone runs on the latest Nokia Belle OS and has a 1.3GHz single-core chip, a 4 inch display with 360×640 (nHD) resolution, 512MB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory expandable via microSD, HSPA 14.4Mbps and Dolby Digital Plus for 5.1 channel.
We did show an early hands-on of the device, which you can check out over here.
