Nokia has made the 500 (Fate) official through an announcement. The newest addition to the Symbian line-up will have a 1GHz processor, Symbian Anna OS, a 3.2-inch capacitive touch display with a screen resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, a 5-megapixel camera, 2GB of storage memory and expandable memory of up to 32GB using the micro-SD card slot, 3G HSUPA, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi b/g.
The handset is also claimed to be lighter than other Symbian^3 and Anna devices. The Nokia 500 will be available in black and white varieties, black first and then white before the end of the year. It will be shipped with 3 back plates as well and more colours for these will become available soon – including purple, azure blue, pink, coral red, orange and dark silver.
The Nokia 500 has been priced at €150 (Rs.10,000/-) which is excellent and is expected to hit stores in Q3.
