While the smartphones are selling rapidly globally, Microsoft has launched the Nokia 222 feature phone for the lower end market.
Microsoft has announced the launch of the Nokia 222 affordable internet-enabled feature phones. The handset has a 2.4 inch LCD display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution. The device is available in the single SIM and dual SIM variants. The handset is price at $37 and are expected to be available globally from September.
The Nokia 222 feature phones have a 2 MP fixed focus camera. The device runs on Nokia Series 30+ OS and has only 2G connectivity. The handset also has other features including USB 2.0, FM Radio, Flashlight, and Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM that enables multimedia content sharing between two SLAM-enabled devices.
