Back in May, Nokia had announced the launch of its low-end Series 40 running Nokia 112 which is supposedly the cheapest Series 40 running feature phone from the company.
And today Nokia India has on its Facebook page announced that the Nokia 112 is soon going to arrive at a store near you.
The Nokia 112 is not high on specs and is for people with normal daily-life usage and also packs in dual-SIM capability which will be useful for users who are always on the move.
Specs of Nokia 112 include:
- 1.8-inch TFT LCD display with 128 x 160 pixel resolution
- Dual SIM capability
- FM Radio & Media player
- VGA digital camera
- Series 40 OS
- Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR
- microSD card support upto 32GB
The Nokia 112 will arrive with GPRS/EDGE connectivity which will help its owners stay in touch with the world of Internet. If you feel that such a low end smartphone might not have much of apps, then you are wrong. Nokia has been working with developers to bring new apps for S40 platform and there are many out there already.
Also not to forget big gaming titles like Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run, Monopoly Here & Now, and SimCity Deluxe will bundled with the phone.
No details have been revealed by Nokia on the pricing but we expect it to be priced for about Rs. 2,600.
