A few days back Samsung said that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will not arrive for the Galaxy S and original Galaxy Tab and this created quite a stir.
Yesterday, Samsung said that it was investigating and trying to bring the update to these devices. But today we hear that Samsung will instead release a ‘Value-Pack’ update for the two devices.
‘Value-Pack’ is nothing much but some enhancements to make the Gingerbread experience similar to what you get with ICS which may include new widgets, camera improvements, improved web browsing and many other things.
This is not the first time that we are hearing about ‘Value-Packs’ from Samsung. Previously Samsung had announced the same pack for Wave 525 and Wave 533 which were supposed to get the bada 2.0 upgrade but will now receive the improved ‘Value-Pack’ which will provide an almost similar experience to that of bada 2.0.
So you think this is justified?
