While the reports of the Android Silver program threaten the very existence of the Nexus line, we may get one last smartphone under the Nexus banner and the handset is expected to be stuffed with high-end features.
According to sources, Google is planning on releasing what could be the last Nexus smartphone in association with LG. Interestingly, the Nexus 6 handset is said to be based on the LG G3, which is expected to be announced on May 27. Further, sources in know claim that Google has already initiated talks with Asian fingerprint sensor manufacturers, thus hinting the possibility of a fingerprint scanner.
Based on reports, the Nexus 6 would flaunt a 5.2 inch display with Quad HD resolution. Further the device is said to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 805 processor. While the specs look really enticing, they tend to contradict the earlier reports claiming that the Nexus 6 would be priced in the $100 range to compete with Moto G and other handsets in the affordable segment.
