After various leaks and rumors, the new Moto E is finally official. The Moto E first generation has had great success, thanks to it being a value for money offering and the 2nd generation Moto E improves on mostly all aspects of its predecessor but the great pricing is intact.
The new Moto E brings a bigger display at 4.5-inches of qHD (960x540p) resolution and the processor has been upgraded too. Now, there’s a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB RAM. The internal storage has been increased to 8 GB now and there’s microSD expansion too.
The rear camera is the same 5 MP from the original and we also have a front-facing camera unit, which is great news for selfie lovers. As with Motorola devices, the new Moto E comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop along with Motorola exclusive features. The battery capacity too has been increased to 2390 mAh and Motorola promises great battery life.
The device also comes with 4G LTE connectivity, which should be great for budding smartphone users wanting high speed internet connectivity. There’s also a 3G version with dual SIM and the usual connectivity options.
The Moto E will come in the usual Black and White options and there’s the ability to shuffle various back covers in Golden Yellow, Turquoise, Blue, Raspberry, Purple, Red. The device has been priced at $150 and we can expect it to be priced at Rs. 6,999 in India, which was the cost of the first gen Moto E for most of the time.
