Samsung’s new Tab S range of tablets are set to be unveiled at the Galaxy Premier event on July 12 but we aren’t sure if we’ll see anything surprising. We have already seen leaked pictures of both the Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4. Today, we have newly leaked pictures of the high-end tablet, which also reveals its features and specs.
As the title suggests, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is going to be ultra thin at 6.6mm and weigh around 465 grams. The Tab S 8.4 is said to be even thinner at 6.5mm and lighter at just 287 grams. The design, as we already know will be similar to the Galaxy S5, with the same dotted pattern back while the sides feature a copper golden finish.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will come with a 10.5-inch display of 2560×1600 pixels resolution. It’ll be powered by an octa-core Exynos 5420 processor with Mali-T628 graphics along with 3GB of RAM. Other specs we know include an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, 32GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD slot. Android 4.4.3 Kat should be on-board with Samsung’s Magazine UX, we first saw with TabPRO and NotePRO tablets earlier this year.
The leak also reveals that the new Tab S tablets will sync with your Samsung smartphone and you’ll be able to receive calls from your tablet as well. When you receive a call, a small window will pop on the tablet’s interface. The tablet will also come with the Remote PC app. There’s also the fingerprint scanner in tow.
Reportedly, we can expect the new Samsung tablets to go on pre-order soon after the announcement and they should be available for purchase by the end of this month. Come June 12th, we’ll bring you all the news from the Galaxy Premier event so stay tuned!
