With the ‘cheapest Android phone’ gimmick turning quite a few heads (mostly for the wrong reasons), Namotel has now launched the Namotel Acche Din smartphone at an unbelievable price point.
Namotel, a Bengaluru based company, has announced the launch of the Namotel Acche Din, which is touted to be India’s most affordable smartphone priced at just Rs. 99. While there are not many details confirming the authenticity of the claim, the company promoter Madhav Reddy revealed that the smartphone would be available for pre-booking on the company’s website namotel.com till May 25.
While the Namotel company website didn’t open up for us, there is apparently a small line of hidden text with regards to the pricing. While the Namotel Acche Din may be priced at Rs. 99, prospective customers are required to register on bemybanker.com for which they need to pay a one-time membership fee of Rs. 199. Sadly, the latter website also threw an error for us.
As for he specs, the Namotel Acche Din sports a small 4 inch display with of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone packs in 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The phone is equipped with a 2 MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera. Would you like to buy this ‘ultra-affordable’ smartphone?
