A new quad-core smartphone has been announced and this time it’s ZTE. The ZTE Era is not only a quad-core equipped smartphone, but is also the one of the thinnest quad-core devices on the market today.
The Era will have an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core “4-plus-1” mobile processor, a 4.3 inch QHD screen giving high quality 960 x 540 pixel images, 8GB of memory expandable with a MicroSD card, HD voice and Dolby sound, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) platform, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera at the back, and NFC support. All of this is packed into a sleek 7.8mm body.
The smartphone will also include the Icera I450 modem by Nvidia which means some pretty awesome network performance, offering power efficiency and dynamic connectivity. The Era will also have ZTE’s customized Mifavor skin UI on top of Android ICS.
The new quad-core smartphone is said to be available from Q3 2012, no confirmation on the pricing.
