ASUS has decided that it wants to dominate the tablet market and in other do so, the company plans to introduce new tablets in a new 300 series which will be in the mid-price range.
ASUS has introduced the Transformer Pad 300 which will be a 10.1 inch tablet with display resolution of 1280 x 800 IPS display. It has NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 Cortex A9processor on-board with 1GB of RAM. Dimensions of the Pad 300 stay at 263 x 180.8 x 9.9mm. The tablet weighs around 635 grams.

The Pad 300 will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and there is on-board storage of 16 GB. The Pad 300 will have a 22Whr battery to power it up. The device will be available in three colours: Red, White and Navy Blue. It will also have the three colour matching docks.
The Pad 300 series is said to be priced at around $399 or less and in order to reduce the cost, ASUS has used plastic body instead of the aluminium chassis. Thus it feels nice that ASUS has not compromised on the specs of the tablet and lowered the cost on the other material.
