Those folks who like taking their phones along with them while swimming, taking a shower or for talking in the rains, are in for a treat. According to a leak, Motorola’s Moto Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 are expected to be coated with a water-repellent nano-coating.
The advantage of a phone having water-repellent coating is that it can withstand occasional spills and some light rain. Your phone will not be rendered useless if it faces some spills and rains. Earlier this year, Motorola launched 3rd Generation Moto G which is IPX7 certified, which means the phone can be submerged in 3 feet of fresh water for 30 minutes, without resulting in a damage to the phone.
