Motorola India tweeted “We see today’s smartphones & raise you a #smarterphone. #MotoZ2Play #ComingSoon”. Motorola also said that the pre-bookings for the Moto Z2 Play start from June 8, hence, we assume that the device will be launched a day before or on the same day in India.
The Moto Z2 Play is powered by Snapdragon 626 SoC which is laced with 3 GB RAM and backed by Adreno 506 GPU. There’s also a 4 GB RAM variant which comes with 64 GB internal storage as opposed to the 32 GB on the 3 GB RAM variant.
The Moto Z2 Play sports a 5.5-inch Full-HD AMOLED display which comes with the protection of Gorilla Glass. The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and a 3000 mAh battery keeps the lights on. For photography, the Moto Z2 Play comes with a 12 MP camera at the back along with a 5 MP camera on the front. You also have the fingerprint scanner on the front.
Alongside the Moto Z2 Play, Motorola also unveiled some new Moto Mods, however, at this moment, we are quite unsure if any or all of those Mods will be launched in India as well. Having said that, we will know the date of launch once Motorola starts sending out press invites to the Indian media. Oh, and yes, you can also click here to know more about the pre-booking offers.
