A week ago, Motorola rolled out December security patch for the Moto Z Play in India. Now, this Lenovo owned company is rolling out the Android 7.0. Nougat update for Moto Z Play units in the country.
Android 7.0. Nougat was released last year in August by Google which means it took Motorola over five months to roll out the update. Well, we really can’t blame Motorola as most of the other manufacturers too are still in the process of rolling out the update. However, given the fact that Motorola used to roll out updates faster, this much wait can turn out to be a downer for the Moto fans.
Speaking of the Nougat update for the Moto Z Play, it brings along features like multi-window view, Doze on the go, notification direct reply, bundled notifications and much more. This Nougat update also comes with support updates for the Moto Mods.
Motorola has advised users to keep their phone plugged in and download the update over a Wi-Fi connection. You can head here if you want to know more about what this Nougat update brings to the Moto Z Play. If you haven’t received the update notification yet, you can check for the update manually by heading to the Settings > About phone menu.
