While the Moto X+1 was recently spotted at a benchmarking site, a new source now claims to have details about the probable release date of the handset.
According to sources, the Moto X+1 flagship, which is the successor to the Moto X would be released on the Verizon network in the US on September 25, which implies that we can expect the official announcement to come a few days before that. As of now it is unlikely that the handset could be announced this month as expected earlier.
With the IFA Expo scheduled to happen in Berlin in the first week of September, there is a slight possibility that the Moto X+1 may be announced there, but it is unlikely. Hence we can expect the handset to be announced somewhere in mid-September. Further, while it is unlikely that the smartphone would be simultaneously announced in India (like the Moto E), rumours are already making rounds that the launch is expected to happen in late November or early December.
