The long wait for the Moto X smartphone seems to have finally come to an end with Motorola inviting media for its launch event in New York.
Motorola has sent out press invites for its private event scheduled on August 1 in New York. It requires no telling that the event is for the launch of the Moto X smartphone. Interestingly, the company has decided to keep the event very low-key by promising “No Stage. No Crowds.” This would be quite contradictory to the trend of device launches by Apple, Samsung and even Google.
On August 1st, Motorola would have five separate events for press but the Moto X would be released at 3 p.m. The Moto X is the first Motorola phone designed under the direction of Google and was recently seen in the hands of Google Executive, Eric Schmidt.
