Motorola announced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force last month. While both these smartphones are successors to last year’s Moto X and Moto X Force, as soon as they were announced, people started assuming that Motorola was done with the X series until Motorola clarified that Moto X series wasn’t going anywhere. While we haven’t heard anything from Motorola regarding the Moto X after that, the device has made its appearance on GFXBench with some nice specs.
The Motorola device that has been listed on GFXBench carries model number XT1650. This is similar to the one that was spotted on Geekbench back in April. The specs listed on GFXBench are in line with the ones listed on Geekbench as well.
The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC which has been paired with 4 GB RAM and is backed by Adreno 530 in the graphics department. It boasts off a 5.5-inch display with Quad-HD resolution and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The device has 32 GB of internal storage so we hope there will be a microSD card slot as well for storage expansion. Talking about the photography department, the device sports dual cameras at the back, one 12 MP and one 20 MP. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 5 MP secondary camera on the front.
These specs are similar to that of Moto Z, except the fact that Moto Z doesn’t have dual rear cameras. There’s no information right now as to when Motorola will announce the Moto X (2016), but whenever they do, we will let you know.
