Given the success of the Moto G series, especially in the developing markets, Motorola has now launched the next generation Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus at the on-going Mobile World Congress 2017.
Motorola has announced the launch of the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus which seem to be an incremental upgrade over the last years Moto G handsets. The devices have the same metal body but with a metal back this time and the water repellent coating. The fingerprint scanner is embedded in the small button just below the display.
The Moto G has a decent 5 inch display whereas the Moto G5 Plus has a slightly bigger 5.2 inch display. Both the devices come with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Moto G5 is powered by a the octa core Snapdragon 430 processor with 2 GB or 3 GB RAM variants. Similarly, the Moto G5 Plus is powered by the octa core Snapdragon 625 processor with 3 GB or 4 GB variants. Both the handsets have microSD card support.
The Moto G5 has a 13 MP rear facing auto focus camera with dual tone LED flash whereas the Moto G5 Plus has a 12 MP sensor which is said to capture more light. Both the handsets have a front facing 5 MP camera. The devices run on the latest Android Nougat version. The phones have dual SIM support with 4G LTE connectivity.

The Moto G5 is priced starting at 199 Euros (approx. Rs. 14000) whereas the Moto G5 Plus is priced starting at 216 Euro (approx. Rs. 15000). The handsets are expected to be released in early March.
