With the next generation Moto G all set to be unveiled in a few hours from now, the detailed specs and retail packaging has now been leaked.
An alleged retail box of the upcoming next generation Moto G has been apparently leaked in Mexico, which is the location besides India where the new smartphones would be announced. The box reveals the smartphone name to be the Moto G4 Plus, thus confirming all the previous rumours. As such we can assume that the other variant would be called as the Moto G4.
The live images of the Moto G4 Plus also confirm the design with the square Home button which has the fingerprint scanner embedded within. The back panel seems to be removable and replaceable and apparently has a matte finish. The camera setup is vertically aligned above the Motorola logo.
Based on the box, it is confirmed that the Moto G4 Plus would flaunt a 5.5 inch full HD display and is powered by an octa-core processor along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The device is equipped with a 16 MP rear facing camera with PDAF and a front facing 5 MP camera. The phone runs on the Android Marshmallow version with support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. We will keep you updated live from the launch event.
