Motorola launched two new Moto G smartphones in India back in May this year – the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Motorola also unveiled Moto G4 Play later on but it wasn’t launched in India back then. However, the Moto G4 Play fans in India won’t have to wait much as Motorola is soon going to avail the smartphone in India.
If the banner image on Motorola India’s Twitter handle is anything to go by, we can firmly say that the Moto G4 Play will go on sale in India from September 6. Like Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, the Moto G4 Play will also be available exclusively on Amazon India for purchase.
As for specifications, the Moto G4 Play has got Snapdragon 410 SoC under the hood which is paired with 1/2 GB RAM and backed by Adreno 306 GPU. The 1 GB RAM variant comes with 8 GB of internal storage whereas the 2 GB RAM variant comes with 16 GB of internal storage.
The device features a 5-inch HD LCD display which is kept on by a 2800 mAh battery. The device boots up to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and you can also expand the external storage using a microSD card. The Moto G4 Play sports an 8 MP camera at the back and a 5 MP camera on the front.
There’s no information about the pricing yet, but we guess the price should be somewhere around ₹10,000. What do you think?
