Days after the first reports of the Moto G Forte surfaced, the company has listed the device in Mexico. However, it’s clearly not what we expected.
The Moto G Forte is now listed on the official Motorola website in Mexico. Apparently, the device is the regular Moto G with the Motorola Grip Shell, which could be purchased separately earlier. The rubberized grip shell provides extra grip and protection against impact. Rest all details, including the specs remain unchanged.
The Moto G Forte is a big disappointment. We were hoping for at least a hard coating and not just a Grip Shell which is already available. There were even hopes of water and dust resistance. Clearly, none of that worked out, thus raising the question for the need of this variant. Either ways, it’s unlikely that this handset will be available globally and is expected to be localised to Latin America.
