After much wait, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is finally live for the Moto G 1st and 2nd gen devices. The much awaited update is now available for Moto G users in India and US.
Motorola tweeted today, “#Lollipop is rolling out in phases to #MotoG (2nd Gen) in US & #MotoG (1st & 2nd Gen) in India. Look for the notification on your device!” So, we can expect the update to reach all the devices in India soon. Since, the company says the update is rolling out in phases, the update might take some time to reach all the regions but even that shouldn’t be too late from now.
We had previously come across reports suggesting that the Moto G was receiving the update in India but that turned out to be not true, as reportedly, Motorola stopped the rollout because of the bugs in Android 5.0. Now, the company seems to have ironed out the bugs and is now giving its users some taste of the Lollipop.
Some users are receiving the update and it brings the Android version to 5.0.2. As we all know by now, the Android 5.0 Lollipop update brings a design makeover to the OS in the form of Material Design along with a number of new features. So, what are you waiting for? If you own a Moto G 1st or 2nd generation, go ahead and check for updates in Settings. If you receive the update, do tell us, how you like it?
