The Moto E has been a grand success in emerging smartphone markets like India and Motorola is now gearing up to launch its successor. We’ve come across quite a few rumors and leaks around the Moto E 2nd generation and here’s another one.
The Moto E 2nd generation has surfaced on the Best Buy website complete with pictures and specs. The leak reveals specs we’ve already come to know through previous leaks. The device will reportedly come with a 4.5-inch qHD (960x540p) display and is said to be powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor. The leak doesn’t reveal the chipset but we guess, it’s the Snapdragon 400 SoC.
The device is said to be come with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and the leak shows the single SIM variant of the device but we can expect the Dual SIM variant to the Indian shores. If the leaked specs are indeed real, Motorola will be adding a front-facing camera in the Moto E 2nd generation.
The leak also reveals that the 2nd gen Moto E will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and 4G LTE support. We don’t know yet if the Lenovo owned company will bring the 4G LTE variant to India. The Best Buy listing shows the price of the device at $99.99 (~Rs. 6,200) and we can expect it to launch in India at Rs. 6,999, the original price of the Moto E. Motorola recently slashed the price of the original Moto E, so Motorola might be making the Moto E 2nd generation official soon.
