Microsoft recently surprised everyone when it launched a lock screen app for Android dubbed Next Lock Screen and today, the app has received a major update confirming that Microsoft is indeed serious about its endeavours.
The update brings the version of the app to 1.5.10695 and brings a number of new features. The update brings music controls and instant notification from apps like Messenger, WhatsApp right to your lock screen. This feature is only available for devices running Android 4.3 and above.
The update also lets you see your incoming text messages at a glance on the lock screen and you can also switch messaging apps from the default messaging app. Along with the aforementioned features, the app also gets the usual performance improvements and bug fixes.
