A couple of weeks back we saw a developer Khaled Salameh reveal a bug that caused any Windows Phone running device to crash by just sending an SMS with a particular string and now we hear that Microsoft has found out why this could be happening and is already working on the solution.
Khaled, who brought this bug to the notice of the world tweeted that he has been contacted by Microsoft regarding this issue and they have also found out the root cause and already working to rectify it.
So in the coming few days we could see a possible update release for all Windows devices. The bug works when any person sends a SMS or even posts a particular string on his Facebook wall or as a chat ping, that string reboots the device and also goes on to disable the messaging hub.
Till now there is no workaround for this bug expect to a hard reset of the device. It is also to be noted that not many or even a few people have been affected by this bug as the developer has not revealed the string.
