With smartphones and tablets being used for working on documents on the go, Microsoft has now launched the Microsoft Office for Android.
Microsoft has announced the launch of the Microsoft Office app for Android which include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. The apps are available for all Android devices running KitKat v4.4 and higher. Users can sign-in with a free Microsoft account to create or edit docs. The apps come with in-app purchases.
Speaking about the launch, Kirk Koenigsbauer, CVP, Office Client Applications and Services, Microsoft, said, “Today I’m pleased to announce the general availability of the new Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for Android phone. These join our previously released Office apps for Android tablets to complete the Office experience for the millions of Android users around the world.”
