Microsoft has just launched its two latest affordable smartphones in India, the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL. Both the devices were unveiled at MWC 2015 and they have finally arrived in India.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is the bigger of the two and it features the same blocky colorful design that has been part of most Microsoft/Nokia affordable smartphones. The Lumia 640 XL packs in a 5.7-inch ClearBlack IPS display of HD (1280x720p) resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1 GB RAM. There’s 8 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 128 GB and the Redmond giant also offers free 30 GB of OneDrive storage.
On the camera front, the device is pretty well equipped with a 13 MP AF rear camera with Zeiss optics and LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing wide angle selfie camera. It also supports Microsoft’s well featured camera app, the Lumia Camera.
The Lumia 640 XL runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim and It also comes with the HERE suite of mapping apps. A 3000 mAh battery powers the device. The Lumia 640 XL comes with Dual SIM and the usual other connectivity features.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is priced at Rs. 15,799 and it goes on sale today on Flipkart.
