With the increasing demand for fitness devices, Microsoft, which just launched the flagship Windows 10 smartphones, has announced the Microsoft Band.
Microsoft has announced the launch of the Microsoft Band, which is the company’s next generation fitness tracker. The device flaunts a curved, touch-sensitive AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The tracker boasts of having 11 advanced sensors which can be used to track heart rate, exercise, calorie burn, and sleep quality. The band also allows to check email, text and calendar alerts.
The Microsoft Band employs advanced sensors which track data specific to running, biking and golfing. The band would be integrated with Microsoft Health to offer actionable insights based on the data. The device also comes with Cortana integration which can be used to type or dictate responses using voice. The Microsoft Band is priced at $249.99 and would be available starting from October 30.
