Micromax for quite some time has been focussing on content services and now the company is foraying into mobile-based Push Payments.
Micromax has announced its partnership with TranServ and Visa for the introduction of mobile payment solution to its customers. The new feature is soon expected to debut in Micromax smartphones. This would allow users to use mobile-based Push Payments using mVisa, offer seamless eCommerce payments on merchant and social media applications, interpersonal payments to personal contacts.
The mobile payment solution for Micromax users would be offered through the Udio app, which is a digital wallet enabled by TranServ to create social or merchant payments. The app allows consumers to shop using a Visa card number linked to the underlying prepaid wallet, wherever Visa is accepted. The company aims to offer mobile contactless payments in physical locations through NFC in future.
Speaking about the partnership, Vikas Jain, Co-Founder, Micromax, said, “Micromax continues to invest for the convenience of its customers, over the years we have been investing time, effort and monies to create a digital experience for our consumers.
