Micromax has just launched a brand new tablet aimed at the bottom of the tablet market. The Micromax Funbook P280 is a 7-inch tablet for the budget conscious Indian market, priced at Rs. 4,650.
The Funbook P280 comes with a 7-inch WVGA (800×480) TFT display and is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor along with 512 MB RAM. There’s 4GB of internal storage along with microSD expansion.
The tablet comes with a VGA front facing camera for video calls. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs the show. There’s WiFi and 3G support, thanks to USB 2.0 slot and dongle support. There’s a modest 2400 mAh battery in tow to keep the tablet running. Micromax has also loaded the device with apps such Spuul, Opera Mini, M!Live and Kingsoft Office.

The tablet will hit the retail stores across India starting today at the aforementioned price of Rs. 4,650.
