Micromax has launched a new smartphone in India for the music lovers, in association of Aircel. According to Aircel, it’s the industry’s first 3G music smartphone. [We are not sure, what “3G Music” means, please ask Aircel. On a serious note, it’s stupid on Aircel’s part to call it a 3G Music smartphone.]
The Micromax Canvas Beat features a 5-inch qHD (960x540p) IPS LCD display and it’s powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM. There’s 4 GB internal storage with microSD expansion up to 32 GB. The device features an 8 MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera.
The Canvas Beat comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on-board and a 1900 mAh battery. The connectivity options include 3G, WiFi, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
So, you must be thinking, why the 3G music smartphone moniker? Well, the smartphone comes with 3G connectivity and the device packs-in enhanced 3D inbuilt surround speakers, free headset and earphone, free songs for limited period, thanks to the Aircel music app.
Aircel is offering a lot of benefits with the purchase of the Canvas Beat. Aircel will offer a full talktime of Rs. 118 on recharge of Rs. 118, local and STD calling at 1p/sec for 6 months, 1 GB 2G/3G data for a month, ISD benefits, free 1000 songs from Aircel music app and a free headset.
