Indian manufacturer Micromax has just launched a new entry-level Android smartphone dubbed the Micromax Bolt S300. The Android running smartphone is aimed at the masses looking for their first smartphone. Well, they have managed to hit the right notes with the price, let’s see if the specs are good too.
The Micromax Bolt S3000 features a 4-inch TN display of WVGA (800x480p) resolution and it’s powered by a modest 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7715 processor with Mali 400 GPU coupled with 512 MB RAM.
The device comes with 4 GB of internal storage with microSD expansion up to 32 GB. As you might have guessed, Micromax has surely cut corners and the camera is no different There’s a 0.3 MP VGA camera both on the front and the rear.
Micromax Bolt S300 has its connectivity well covered with dual SIM functionality, 3G HSPA+ support, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. The device runs on Android 4.4.3 KitKat and as it is with Micromax phones, there are some pre-installed apps like M! Live, Housing, Reverie, Snapdeal, Chaatz, Newshunt, Paytm, Quikr and more. A modest 1200 mAh battery provides the juice for the device.
The Micromax Bolt S300 is available in stores now for Rs. 3,300 although the MRP of the device is said to be Rs. 3,899 according to Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based retailer.
