Just days after the Micromax A54 Smarty 3.5 went on sale online, today another Android smartphone from the Smarty series called the Micromax A65 Smarty 4.3 has made an appearance online. The Smarty 4.3 is the first phone to be loaded with the Spreadtrum chipset, which is a low cost chipset. The chipset provides a 1 GHz processing power. The dual SIM smartphone supports only 2G connections and has no support for 3G.
The 4.3 inch screen has an 800 x 480 pixel resolution and runs on Google Android 2.3 operating system. The smartphone is provided with a 512 MB RAM. The phone has a front and rear camera with flash. The rear camera is a 2 Megapixel camera while the front facing is a VGA camera. The 1350 mAh battery provides a five hour talk time.
To compensate the lack of 3G, the Smarty 4.3 is Wi-Fi enabled and also has Bluetooth. But with most people migrating to 3G, this phone is somewhat obsolete. Many other obsolete specs are visible in this model, example, the VGA camera, Android 2.3 etc and Micromax is failing to make use of the 1 GHz processor. Compared to the previous editions, the A65 has 512 MB RAM, which is almost double of the previous phones.
